Heyyyy
Bad news: So for some reason Faith doesn't like the church, probably
because her friends at the baptist church told her not to, and told
Mary that she doesn't want her to be baptized. So Mary wants to wait
now and try to talk to faith so she doesn't get mad at her. Ugh.
There's always something!
The banana bread baking is going well. We have made a goal to visit
all of the part member families and take them something, this week
we're doing pumpkin cookies. Jenny and her family are doing really
well. Her daughter was in the hospital so they weren't at church on
Sunday, but they'll be there this week. And she quit smoking! I just
love her. Today she took us to Jacksonville and out to lunch. It was
really fun.
The lady from England is doing okay, she was in a couple of bad car
accidents that messed with her head, so she has been in and out of the
hospital. She really wants to go to the temple though.
This week I got a referral on Facebook from a guy in the Dominican
Republic, so I got to start teaching her online. It's really hard
though because she doesn't speak English, so I have to use google
translator and it makes it confusing for both of us, but it's pretty
cool!
P-day will be on Tuesday again next week because on Monday we have
zone conference with a general authority, Elder Golden. It should be
really good.
And I can't remember if I already told you this, but on Sunday we're
doing "if you could hie to Kolob" I'm singing and playing the violin
and there's a guitar and flute. It's really pretty.
Funny story: so sister Williams sleeps on the top bunk and the other
night, the latter broke off. So we didn't have anything to fix it so
we had to duct tape it! Hahaha it was really funny, and now I sleep on
the top just to be safe.

Good morning!
The zone conference with Elder Golden was really good. We drove down
Sunday night and then stayed the night with some other sisters in
Gainesville. He said a lot of good stuff like, every time we bear our
testimony, we become better. And we should be thankful to be serving
in the south because all of these people already love the lord and
love the bible. And before we can become a good missionary, we have to
become a disciple of Christ. And the members of the church are the
most blessed because of all the laws that are church has, because
attached to every single law and commandment is a blessing. So we
should be thankful for all of our rules and commandments that we have
in the church because it means more blessings. And "if it is painful,
it is good for the soul." And that if we're living the gospel, when we
have to make a tough decision, 9 out of 10 times the very first
thought that we have will be from God.
And a bunch of other good stuff haha
Also, I got to see Sister Merchant! We were so happy to see each
other. I can't remember if I told you this, but she is companions with
sister Lawrence now. Weird! She said they talk about me a lot haha.

sis Lawrence trained me, and I trained sis merchant.
The lady from England is Lisa. She's a member and she came to church
again this week! Mary is still sick, but we're hoping to see her
sometime this week. We had two dinner appointments last week. And a
member had a birthday party with a ton of food left over, so she gave
us lotssss of taco stuff. So that was good. I think I'm going to give
the girl on facebook to the Spanish elders.
Our musical number went well. We got a lot of compliments. I just wish
I was better at the violin! Would it be expensive to send my violin?
It would be nice to have it, but I don't know if it would be worth it
since I only have 6 months left.
Miles are tight this week, but we should be able to make it if we're
careful. Why did they get rid of the sisters there?
I think Heavenly Father knew that I was studying and working on
charity this week because Christine, the member we live with is
driving me CRAZY!! Luckily, she moves to Utah on Saturday . She always
makes us clean up after her and it's so annoying. I think she think
the missionaries are her maids. And she always interrupts our studies
and talks to us when we're trying to sleep. And she gets mad over the
smallest things. Only 5 more days. I CAN DO HARD THINGS!
On Sunday, our new investigator Tommy came to church! We found him by
a member bringing him to volleyball on Saturdays. And then that member
gave him a Book of Mormon and he started reading it. So hopefully we
can start meeting with him this week!
Sounds like you had fun in Vegas. Sign me up for a spa day when I get
back, I'll need a good massage.

My birthday was really good! Sister Williams made me breakfast and
decorated. Then we had Zone Meeting in Lake City. Afterwards we went
to lunch at Texas Roadhouse with some other sisters. Then Christine,
the lady we live with, took us to dinner. And a member made me a cake.
And you sent me pizza. Lotssss of food. The stuff you sent me was
cute, thanks!
On Thursday we set a baptismal date with Mary for September 28th! I'm
excited!! Also, we started meeting with a family that joined the
church a couple years ago and we found out that their youngest son
hasn't been baptized yet. So the mom asked him if he wanted to be
baptized and he was like "ya, if you'll sign me up I'll do it" it was
really funny. So hopefully he can get baptized this month too!
It's been raining a lot these last few days and last night we came out
of an appointment and there were like 50 frogs on the door and in the
door way. It was crazy! It was like from the movie the Ten
Commandments haha.
We started making banana bread a few weeks ago and have been bringing
it to the members so that we can get to know them better. It seems to
be working and who doesn't like banana bread?
Our mission is focusing a lot on developing Christ like attributes
lately. So tonight for FHE go to the end of chapter 6 in preach my
gospel and take the quiz to see which attribute you need to work on
the most and then study it. I've started choosing one to study for a
whole week of personal study.

This week was long, but good!
We went to FHE at the river and it was fun. A recent convert brought
his girlfriend and her daughter and he wants us to come over and start
teaching them! I'm excited! Also, 2 less actives came to church
yesterday!! Lisa, the one from England that we always do yard work
for, came with her husband and she bore her testimony! Also, Jenny,
the one we exercise with in the mornings, came too! Two of her kids
were out of town, but she brought her youngest daughter. After
sacrament meeting she left because her daughter was hungry... But then
she came back for third hour!! It was such a miracle! She hasn't been
in FOREVER! So hopefully they both continue to come.
Members brought friends to volleyball on Saturday, finally! So that was good.
Stephen, the one that goes to our church and then to his baptist
church right after, is soooo frustrating! He said last night that he
believes hat the Book of Mormon is true, but doesn't believe that
Joseph smith was a prophet. I just don't understand how that works.
We're stuck with him. I feel like we've tried everything!! We might
have to drop him...
We taught Mary and faith lesson 2 last week and they both said that
they will keep reading and praying. We are teaching them on Wednesday
and inviting them to be baptized, so hopefully I'll get a good
birthday present and they'll say yes!!
We did a lot of service this week, cleaning, helped someone move,
helped someone with their computer. Sister williams bike has another
flat tire, so we still haven't rode our bikes. Exercising is going
good. We switched to working out with jenny every other day, so we get
more sleep.
That's cool about what happened at Micah's farewell. I'm so happy he's
going on a mission!
